Everyone talks about how Spinosaurus was one of the biggest dinosaur predators that ever walked the earth and some estimates put him at being around 56 feet long and 8 tons, but does that automatically make him the most dangerous predators ever?
I think there has been a great misconception about how lethal Spinosaurus really was.
In the movie Jurassic Park 3 they had a Spinosaurus Square off against a T-rex with Spinosaurus snapping T-Rex's neck in 2. In real life Spino could never have done this to T-Rex because Spinosaurus's neck was very weak and so were his jaws. From what scientists have said it seems like he was mostly a fisher and scavenger of allready killed prey.
Tyranosaurus Rex's jaws are among the most lethal killing machines of all timeand once he would have had Spinosaurus's neck in the grip of its jaws it would have never escaped and would have had its own neck snapped in two.
This is yet another over exaggeration of the strength of Spinosaurus.

Why did alligators survive the KT event and most dinosaurs didnt?
Have you folks ever wondered why the mightiest of species in the cretacious , the dinosaurs, didnt survive the KY mass exctinction and the alligators did? There are many theories on this but my feelings and thoughts on this has to do with the facts that the alligators are master survivolists.
Alligators and Crocodiles can go months without food and can almost shurt down body metabolism to a standstill. This is the perfect mechanism to have during a major event such as this. If you remember many scientists talked about how the sun was blocked out for a long period of time after the giant meteor struck the earth.
This caused most of the plants to die, which in turn caused the herbivores who fed on them to die, which in turn caused the meat eating dinosaurs that fed on the herbivores to die. The dinosaurs and most other animals werent properly prepared to survive such a catastrophy, but the Crocs and Gators were. The key was probably their metabolism.

The huge prehistoric camel
What do you guys think of the prehistoric Camel found 2 years ago in the syrian desert? It was dubbed the "Syrian Camel". The Syrian Camel stood as high 14 feet and was as big as the African Elephant. This was one camel that u didnt want to mess with, but i wonder what it was like to ride that one.

One Smart Dinosaur : Troodon
there are many people who thought that dinosaurs werent really that smart because they argue that the mammal brain had many millions of year time to evolve throughout the millions of years since but many people can point to one animal who many scientist think could change our thinking of dinosaur evolution.
The medium to little size predator was called Troodon. He was about 6 feet long and had the biggest brain to body size of any dinosaur ever found (even the very intelligent Raptors). Scientists believe that he had the intelligence of an Estrich or Emu and for 65 million years ago that was extremely advanced. Imagine what might have happened to Troodon if that huge asteroid didnt hit off the gulf of mexico and wiped off the dinosaurs? Troodon probably would have gone on to evolve into a humanoid form.
Remember , Troodon had grasping hands and opposing thumbs and walked upright and had a huge brain and his brain would have continued to evolve and probably could have been the dominant intelligence on this planet. Imagine that!!

Prehistoric Battles
How would you guys love to talk about great prehistoric animals? I dont mean just about one era but about mixing it up and imagining how animals from one era could fare in another era. Imagine putting the prehistoric Saber Tooth Tiger in the cretacious era with the likes of ankylosaurus and Tyranosaurus Rex. Use your imagination and have some fun.
